This was the idea for this book –

Imagine: You’re at the store and remember that you need to get a treat for a party. Then you remember one of the mocktails – like the Peach Orange Cooler, or the Watermelon Cucumber Punch. The kids will flip and the adults will love the refreshing taste of summer!

Think about how easy it will be to open the recipe on your eReader and grab the ingredients before you race out of the store.

That was the first thought – how easy it would be to get recipes off your phone when you were at the store! But remember, we started working on this book before kindle and just as Pinterest and recipe blogs were taking off.

This was book # 3 for my publishing company. You can still get a copy of this really fun book. It’s perfect for right now (the first day of summer 2025 is TODAY!!!)

My friend, Jen Stott was running a very successful recipe blog, JensFavoriteCookies. (You can also find her work on Facebook). And she wanted a product to go with it. Voila! a quick eBook – perfect!

It is loaded with beautiful pictures and fun and tasty non-alcoholic summer, fruity beverages. And it was a blast to put together as a book. It was never made as a physical book, which was a relief at that point. Again, this was before you could do much print-on-demand. So the publisher was charged with printing and distributing large and expensive quantities of books. Though I had the expertise to edit, create, and publish, I was still an almost one-woman show. I was struggling to just run a start-up company.

After the experience with this book, I decided to do a few more small books. I still wanted to do novels, but I also wanted more of a catalog of books for Waldron Publishing. I knew that if there were more books to choose from, all of the authors would be benefited. I was also getting some good traction on my website and on Pinterest, which was very exciting.

Before I end though, I want to recommend Jen’s Favorite Cookies again to you. Her site is a masterpiece. She spent so much attention to details from the instructions of the recipes to the images. And let me tell you, the amount of AMAZING cookies she has on the site will astound.
